Iron NEED Iron

In your third trimester you have a high chance of becoming iron deficient.

Your body is creating more hemoglobin, which needs iron. So your body is working in over drive and you become even more tired.

I’ve been trying to eat foods that are high in iron, to try and stay away from having to take iron supplements.  I am also still taking my VitaFusion Prenatal Gummies

  • Spinach
  • Any kind of nuts
  • More cereal
  • Granola
  • Oatmeal

The past couple times I’ve been at the hospital they have pricked my finger, just to make sure my iron levels have been fine.  Tomorrow I have an appointment with Dr. Tanner, just a check up to see how I’m doing.  I feel like I still am not getting enough iron in my system.   So the thought is to ask him his opinion and see what he says.  I might start taking an iron supplement to help with my iron supply, just to make sure Zoie-Lynne and I are getting enough iron.

We’ve definitely are getting our fruits and veggies.  I’ve been eating salads, with lentils instead of meats, with tons of veggies on them.  Then just snacking on fruits like blackberries and dried fruits.  Along with the squeeze packs of pureed fruit.  Today I’m having Happy Squeeze CoCo Strawberry Coconut Milk & CoCo Orange Mango Coconut Milk, I would definitely recommend them, they are really yummy and you get your fruits and veggies.
